Uncle Fatty’s Kicks Off Bears Season with $5 Cash to Bar Guests
Re-Cover Sundays Start Sunday, September 12th at Uncle Fatty’s
While we’re used to hearing about pay-to-play antics in Chicago, Uncle Fatty’s Rum Resort in Chicago’s Lakeview neighborhood is kicking off Bears season with a sweet deal. Starting on Sunday, September 12, the first Bears game against the Detroit Lions, Uncle Fatty’s will be giving all bar guests $5 cold, hard cash for walking in the door.
You may be asking yourself, why? “We pack the bar every weekend with guests who come in to loyally support our line-up of cover bands so we wanted to say thank you and give them back their cover (hence ‘re’ or ‘return’ cover) to keep the party going into Sunday,” says co-owner, Brian Galati.
That’s right, all guests will receive $5 to enjoy the game and the other drink specials, prizes, games and more at Uncle Fatty’s Re-Cover Sundays:
Knocking a few back might be the best way to ease concerns about Jay Cutler’s consistency so instead of obsessing over the schematics of the new fast-break offense, enjoy a Bloody Mary Bar with $5 Absolut Bloody Marys and $1 7-ounce Bud Light bottles ($6 buckets).
Instead of canvassing Sheffield for an eatery to satisfy your hunger, Uncle Fatty’s is shipping in White Castle Sliders greasier than Ditka’s hair to make for the perfect drunken treat. There will also be prizes for each touchdown scored by the Bears including Uncle Fatty’s paraphernalia, to gift certificates and more. One of Uncle Fatty’s rotating roster of Chicagoland’s newest cover bands will regale fans with rock anthems throughout the game.
The stadium-style seating around Uncle Fatty’s 10X10 projection screen with full sound at center stage plus the additional flatscreen televisions brought in gives you the at game experience without facing the looming bitter cold of Soldier Field. Bring the tailgate inside too with bags games, beer pong (with water, of course) and Pop-A-Shot and Football Toss.
Re-Cover Sundays will be taking place every Sunday. Doors open at 11 am.
